At that time, the Earth Federation government was built on a subtle power balance consisting of the main forces and puppets of Anaheim Electronics, the Titans, and a crowded force by the AEUG. As Anaheim Electronics interacted with each power, they had to prevent knowledge of the Sword’s existence from being known outside the main forces. In other words, the very existence of the Sword itself was dangerous. So, with the completion of the Tyrant, Neofalia was moved to the old ship Spinosaur, and testing was to be conducted in a sector near Texas (formerly Side 5). The life there was reminiscent of the time I spent serving in the Frontier Defense Fleet. Although it was an older model, the maintenance of the ship was in good condition, and while that wasn’t necessarily a bad thing, it wasn’t exactly comfortable.

“Seems like you had a lot of trouble. Can I expect anything good out of today’s test?”

“That’s what you want to say to that ‘selfish boy’? Come on, just when will you finally listen to what I’m saying?”

“Pretty soon I’d say, assuming I chose the right person.”

“Makes sense. Still, that’s one hell of a thing you guys made.”

Bidding farewell to Ms. Neina, I headed for the catapult deck.

On the deck, the final checks on the Tyrant were about to be completed. I had a brief meeting with the mechanics about the settings and slipped into the cockpit.

Takeoff. The scenery on the monitor started to flow backward along with the green indicator lights. There is almost no shock during takeoff like when you’re handling a mobile suit. It’s a perfect anti-G system.

After giving myself ample distance from the ship, I activated the generator. A startup sound unique to the generator was communicated across the seat. The field generation sign displayed on the monitor indicated to me that all systems were functioning properly.

The rear sensors picked up the Sword Kai that was released from the ship to monitor the Tyrant. The Sword Kai raises his left hand, letting me know he’s all set to go.

“Let’s do this.” I muttered inside my helmet as I reached for the mode selector.

The test targets this time around were three new machines that were currently under development. While their names were unknown, their levels of mobility were evident from their appearances. Still, they weren’t enemies of the Tyrant either.

After going through several beam lines of the simulation, I snuck the Tyrant into the pocket of the mobile armors.

Had I of switched over directly to a combat pattern without taking an evasive pattern, it would have been possible to destroy all the machines in less than five seconds.

As a result, a shot down notice was sent from all three mobile armors in less than three minutes, including testing of evasive patterns.

To be honest, I was astonished with the Tyrant for this.

A weapon that takes down the three latest high mobility mobile armors in just three minutes.

There was no doubt in my mind at the time that conventional mobile weaponry tactical theory would be completely nullified.
