ATMOSPHERIC REENTRY SHUTTLE GABRIL
A large shuttle with atmospheric reentry abilities that is utilized by the Principality of Zeon forces. The nose section is a storage space which allows it to carry vehicles and weapons such as mobile suits. M’Quve and the other Principality of Zeon delegates were on board as they descended to Earth for the Antarctic Treaty negotiations.
The color of the version that appears in the manga is unknown. The anime version is based on a purple design. In the preliminary draft color there was also a plan to make a Zeon Forces type of olive green. Katagi finished the official design based on the rough sketch by Katoki and the director. The design carries over the three panels on the side as well as the gun turrets on the top of the craft. It was Katagi’s idea to enlarge the nose of the shuttle like that of a Gaw.
The shuttles are seen descending to Earth carrying M’Quve and delegates to participate in the Antarctic Treaty at Scott City observatory habitat.
