Based on the failed and notorious RS-81 Nemo, the RS-NF-81 Improved Nemo Sword is a prototype equipped with the newly developed SE generator and would function as an experimental unit for the SE system. The RS-81 was chosen as the experimental unit for the new generator due to its robust suit structure and given the bad reputation of the RS-81, it was an indispensable element for this experimental unit, which is something rather ironic. Three experimental units based on this Nemo were manufactured, two of which are said to have been destroyed during testing with the remaining one being deployed in actual combat, but official material to support this claim doesn’t exist. There is also a theory that the suit deployed in combat was the prototype of the phantom new SES weapon. Part of the original optical system remains. The Nemo Sword is a prototype so armor is unnecessary but this is because it cannot be removed from the suit structure.

The beam saber has been removed from the block. Thrusters have been removed and it becomes the SE sub unit. Shoulder armor has been removed and the block is bare. Shoulder verniers have also been removed. There are three finger manipulator for test purposes and no side armor on the waist.

Although the Improved Sword is a test unit, specs are changed slightly for each test flight but it is basically the same machine.

Two main generators are located at the top with two sub generators at the bottom. The mount unit attaches to a latch on the back of the mobile suit with accompanying piping. On either side of the main generators are Minovsky intakes.

Removing the glass and completely changing the camera system. The vulcan guns are dummies.
