A support weapon which served as a small mobile base developed to support the actions of mobile suit teams. By combining living space that affords the mobile suit pilots a place to stay, transportation of supplies such as spare ammunition and food, transport capacity to carry several mobile suits to their destination, utilization of infrared and sonic waves for scouting abilities and mobile suit fire support, it was developed with the intention of being flexible even on long missions for a team of three units, the minimum number of suits for an operation. Based on the mega bazooka launcher, it was given the name “Mega Rider” due to the mobile suit being able to straddle while moving and attacking.
Based on the basic structure where one mobile suit is on board and is towing two others, it is equipped with a large propulsion device with extra power. It possesses the functionality level of a small warship in spite of it being compact. It is equipped with cargo containers for transporting supplies, a Radome for enhanced scouting abilities and anti-aircraft equipment such as gatling guns and missile pods.
Immediately following the end to the Gryps War, the Axis forces declared war against the exhausted Earth Federation Forces, an experimental form was rapidly rolled out to bolster their forces during this situation. However, it was involved in an accident in a derelict colony used as a test site during its operational testing and was partially destroyed. However, as a result of the operational testing, functional problems weren’t found, modifications were made which made it slimmer and it was completed as the FXA-08R Mega Rider. It will be sent to the Argama, which is the main fighting power of the AEUG which had been rapidly increasing their battle strength.

Depicted above are the side thrusters as well as mobile suit grip bars. Below the side grips are latch hooks which fold down to hold rifles during missions, allowing for easier access.
