An original novel published in Mission ZZ, a separate volume of ModelGraphix magazine. The author is Masaya Takahashi formerly of Stream Base that would later work with Gundam Sentinel. Illustrations are once again handled by Kazuhisa Kondo. It’s hard to say whether the character names and what are recycled from those in MS Senki or whether it is related to that original story. The central person of the story, Lieutenant Balk, seems to have died in battle in the previous installment. Following this, there are many works in which character names from MS Senki (including Brown) pop up. Originally published in the July 1987 issue of ModelGraphix.

It is eight years after the end of the One Year War. A former Zeon soldier going by the name “Baker” is working as a driver, having lost his memories in the battle of Odessa. He is attacked by a mobile suit unit belonging to former Federation Forces turned bandits. Baker is blown away by a shock wave and regains his memories that he is Lieutenant Balk. Following that, Balk meets an old man who forewarns that the bandits will attack the village, so he decides to guard it along with some of his friends. Scouting out more former Zeon soldiers, they restore mobile suits from scraps and set a trap in the village. Then on the coming day, the battle begins with the deserters of the former Federation Forces led by Carlos Luddy and the six warriors (+1) of the One Year War…
