BACKGROUND
A prototype mobile suit developed as a test unit for the strength and responsiveness of the psycho-frame for the UC Project. Because it was meant to test the performance to its limits, it supposedly wasn’t intended to be operated by a pilot, but in fact it was created for “a certain person” with abilities far beyond those of a normal person. The development code is Stein 01. The original unit was equipped with system called the “intention automatic system”, which allows the machine to move via the pilots thoughts. During the initial testing of the mobile suit by the Sleeves, a young pilot by the name of Werkkracht accidentally killed an engineer during weapons testing.
