BACKGROUND

While the Saberfish only missions weren’t limited to assaults but to aerial combat and air-raids, the cost compared to its high efficiency was exceedingly high. This plane is a so-called low cost unit that aimed at reducing cost with a focus on assault missions. However, even though it’s said to be low cost, that doesn’t mean performance was low. In contrast, as it’s design was narrowed down to a single function, it exemplified high performance on missions for regional air defense. The fiber optic control mechanism and a completely evolved fly by light (FBL) system have successfully given this unit superior aerial capabilities coupled with high-performing control configured vehicle (CCV) functionality. The manufacturer of this unit is the Hervic Company. It would later become the prototype of the Core Fighter. Since its rollout prior to the One Year War, these fighters saw service until the Gryps War.
