OUTLINE
【概要】

The Universal Century began with mankind moving its burgeoning population into outer space. The year is UC0079. The cluster of colonies furthest from the Earth, Side 3, proclaim themselves the Principality of Zeon and launch a war of independence against the Earth Federation. Now, it is nearly one year since the war broke out. In the “Thunderbolt sector”, a reef section of space where a large quantity of wreckage from battleships and destroyed space colonies from the war lies, a violent battle plays out as the Earth Federation Forces set their sights on recapturing the Zeon controlled sector.

The Universal Century began with mankind moving its burgeoning population into outer space. In U.C. 0079, the colonies furthest from the Earth, Side 3, proclaim themselves the Principality of Zeon and declared independence from the Earth Federation government. War was waged. Now, nearly a year has passed since that war broke out. In a debris cluster known as the Thunderbolt sector, the remains of many space colonies and battleships destroyed by the war circle. Here, a violent struggle has played by the Zeon Forces that seized control of the sector and the Federation Forces whose mission is to regain it…

Io Fleming: Ensign. Pilot of an RGM-79 GM. Member of the Mua Brotherhood comprised of former inhabitants of the Mua space colonies destroyed by Zeon. Jazz fan.

Cornelius: Io’s partner. Mechanic on board the Columbus-class supply ship Beehive.

Claudia Peer: Acting captain aboard the Columbus-class supply ship Beehive.　Her rank is Lieutenant Commander.

Graham: Executive officer aboard the Columbus-class supply ship Beehive.

PRINCIPALITY OF ZEON
【ジオン公国軍】

Darryl Lorenz: An excellent sniper and pilot of a MS-06 Zaku. His rank is Chief Petty Officer. He has two artificial legs. Also a fan of jazz. His family was originally on Earth as part of a group of Zeon merchants, yet was later exiled due to citizen protests. Upon moving to the space colonies, he enlisted in the army in order to earn the right for him and his family to become a citizen of Zeon. He lost both of his legs during an assault following the Principality’s Earth Drop operation yet was told he would still be able to fight. He has a mother and younger sister (he lost his father sometime after moving into outer space).

Hoover: Rank is Ensign. He’s duped into opening his cockpit hatch and ultimately gets shot in the head by Ensign Io Flemming. A loud-mouth and boisterous soldier with a fiance waiting back home.

Shawn Mitadera: Darryl’s comrade. Rank is Chief Petty Officer. His long bangs cover his eyes. He lost both arms from the shoulders down. He dies in battle following an encounter with Io in the Full Armor Gundam.

Fisher: Darryl’s comrade. He lost both legs from the thigh down.

Kara: Female Technical officer. She has a teaching degree and is the developer of the Reuse P Device. She’s a superior technician that was awarded a medal from the Zon top brass.
