NRX-033 MATABIRI
NRX-033 マタ・ビリ

The name of this mobile fortress is derived from the spirit of the marshlands said to inhabit the lands of Papua New Guinea. It’s described as a malicious being with puffy cheeks and a huge belly. Although it’s called a mobile fortress, the Matabiri is an independently developed unit of the New Guinea base unrelated to the Murasame Labs project or mobile fortress plans said to have once existed. The fortress is based on the specifications of the Big Zam found at A Baoa Qu. It’s armor is comprised of Luna Titanium alloy, has Minovsky Craft of Earth Federation Forces technology and introduces Principality of Zeon I-field technology discovered after the war. It differs from the Big Zam developed in haste during the war in that it adequately incorporates a balance of new technology without overdoing it. A new model high-output generator is installed on it that achieves practical operating time. With only a single, large mega particle cannon, the cost was lowered thus solving the cooling problem. Although it has multiple launchers installed as substitute sub-cannons, this produced favorable results increasing it’s general purposes. However, despite the incorporation of this new technology, mobility and the mega particle firing interval remain a difficulty.
