The worst in my opinion is the SD spin offs. It just seemed weird... and creepy.

Definitely CE. SEED was ok, but SEED Destiny was horrible.

CE. No question. SEED was likeable enough, especially if you look at its first half as a 0079 reboot, but after that it's only so-so. SEED Destiny actually had a good first half in my opinion, but a TERRIBLE second half. Basically it was good up until after Shinn defeated Kira.

Well, the later volumes of Astray are IMO every bit as bad as Destiny. Ditto Stage 3 of Stargazer. But that's just my opinion.

I haven't read anything past the very first Astray series. It just seemed to grind my gears (pun intended) that they had so many cheap variants of the Astray Gundams that all looked mostly the same. By this I'm talking about the over 9000 different versions Astray Red Frame, Blue Frame, and Gold Frame have gone through.

Aren't really all that many more variants of each Astray than there are of the Strike.
Red Frame is now up to four variants in addition to the original: Red Frame+Power Loader, Powered Red, Mars Jacket, and Red Frame Kai Gold Frame, all told, has three, which are all variations of the same suit: Amatu(incomplete type), Amatu, and Amatu Mina. Which are really just one suit at various stages of completion. Blue Frame has the most, with five: the underwater Equipment type, Second L, Second G, Third, and Second Revise Green Frame has no variants Mirage Frame has two. (1+4)+(1+3)+(1+5)+(1)+(2)=18
Technically speaking, there are more different variants of the basic Strike design than there are of the basic Astray design. Strike E/Noir(and its 3 Striker Packs, excluding IWSP), Akatsuki(and its 2 Striker Packs), Raigo(and its 3 Striker Packs) Testament(and its Striker Pack) (1+5)+(1+4)+(1+3)+(1+2)+(1+3)+(1)=22 And that's without counting the Impulse, which adds its seven Silhouette packs to the equation, bringing the total up to 30.

Yeah, I will admit that Delta Astray and Astray Frames were pretty bad, and I couldn't bring myself to read Astray R because I hated the art style

I remember when Seed Destiny was airing and on other forums we had named the Kira Beam Spam and Shinn Cockpit Sword Stab moves like they were special attacks in Dragon Ball Z since that's all Kira and Shinn did with their upgrade Gundams.
Seed Destiny isn't a bad series if you watch the movie version... actually the screen time for the movie version is more fitting for Destiny's story since it isn't complex and can be fully played out in that amount of time, plus it removes some of the filth from the later episodes and downgrades Shinn to a supporting character, making his minimal development as a character more acceptable. And the ending where Kira confronts Gilbert isn't as completely stupid once you realize Fukuda stole that idea from Tomino, since that was to be the original ending to Mobile Suit Gundam (Amuro confronting Gihren and shooting him). Id have to agree here. the Movies for Destiny are a huge improvement. Also, what about Kira's Twirly Slash? That being said, I still liked CE as a whole. Maybe it was a bit too actiony and there were too many Gundams, but I dont mind. I liked a lot of the designs (unless we start moving into the fiftybillion Astray series) but at least it still felt like Gundam, unlike G, which was friggin retarded.

I thought G was prett stupid too, but I still liked it better than SEED Destiny. At least they know who the good guy is, and why the good guy is fighting, and don't spend TOO much time angsting. Also, NOT SWITCHING PROTAGONISTS!!!

Watch the movies then, no MC swap.
I still hate G the most, mainly because I dont like Super Robots. I also disliked Correct Century because if the awful mech desings. Hell, the art in that was a tragedy. Story was okay and the cahracters were decent, but ugh, the art.

The movies were from Athrun's point of view, right? Or am I thinking of something else? Because unless they went that route, Shinn would still go from Protagonist to villain about halfway through.

Yea, they are, but they cut out a lot of Shinn being retarded when he becomes a "villain." I still think he shouldve stayed the protagonist, but apparently, the majority of Seed fans didnt. I actually think him and Kira having a Kamille/Amuro dynamic would have been really cool, but Ill take what I can get.
