Following the end of the One Year War, the Principality’s remaining forces flee the Earth Sphere for the distant asteroid base of Axis. Char Aznable is among these shattered remnants. After months of travel, he reaches Axis and encounters Haman Karn, the teenage daughter of the base’s commander. Meanwhile behind the scenes, shadowy groups on both sides plot to rekindle the flames of war.
